Based on my experience, which I will outline below, it's hard to tell what combination of incompetent and dishonest these folks are. They clearly lied to me and tried to blackmail for more money for items I waited four months to receive, and it took many phone calls to finally get to the point of them refunding my money.
On April 14th I placed confirmed order 292344 for four items totaling $297.38, which they charged me for up front (receipt on file).
In May and having received nothing, I called and was told one of the items was on backorder, due to ship in June. They refused to ship the rest of the order, even thought they had my money, and I agreed to wait for the backorder item so that I could receive the order in its entirety.
In June I again phoned, and was told the backordered part wasn't in yet.
In late June/July I again phoned, as was told the backordered part was now in, and my order could/would now ship. A week later I phoned again as nothing had been received, and was assured the order was in the process of shipping.
Approximately a week later, just the backordered item I had ordered showed up, the very part they had refused earlier to ship separately.
On August 3rd I phoned and spoke with Tony regarding the shipping of the rest of the order. After on hold and him speaking with the warehouse supervisor, he said the warehouse refused to ship the rest of the order unless I paid an additional $190 for shipping. This despite my order form showing shipping was included, also confirmed by a visit to their site.
NXTools sent an email August 4th confirming they would not ship without me paying more money. I responded pointing out my invoice clearly showed shipping was included, but my email remains unanswered.
So as to add insult to injury, I phoned them today August 17th so that my refund could be processed (they had my money since April even though they clearly had no intention of fulfilling the order) and spoke with David. He in turn spoke with the warehouse manager who told him the reason they had not shipped is that they were damaged, and that NXTools was having difficulty getting replacements from the manufacturer. David did not clarify which of the three pending orderd items was damaged - apparently all of them as they refused to ship anything at this point. I pointed out to David that (all) the items were still in fact still orderable from their web site online, www.coastaltoolsupply.com/product/ATD-7465SR.html and that two weeks ago I had been assured the items were ready to ship (if their ransom was paid). I also gave advance notice I'd take my grievance online so that folks could be alerted to my unfortunate experience, as David couldn't do anything to help me escalate within NXTools.
