Yesterday I had my new car in for a carwash at the Cobblestone location at Pima and Frank Lloyd Wright.  When I went to pick it up, there were spots on it and areas that were still drity.

There were some small black marks (my car is white) on the lower parts of the front on each side, and the rocker panels (areas under the doors were dirty.  I asked to have them cleaned.  Shawn, the manager said the marks on the front were "chips in the paint."

Since this is a brand new car, I knew that wasn't likely.  He ignored them. Then I pointed out that the rocker panels were dirty and he cleaned them and said "This is a wash, not a detail."

As I left, I stopped over at the detail area across the way.  It was the end of the day and they guys were not busy.  I was concerned to figure out what had happened to my new car, so I asked they guy there if these marks on the front were chips.

He looked at them and said, "No, they will easily wipe off.  He took a rag and put a little polishing solution on it and was in the process of wiping them off (took about a minute) and Shawn, started yelling at him over the radio, "He's done, don't do that."  The guy couldn't believe it but he was done by then.  I thanked him and gave him $10.

I then went back over and asked to speak to Shawn.  He was downright rude said I "wanted too much."  Then I remembered it was Shawn who used to continually try to up sell services a couple of years ago, who wouldn't take no for an answer and kept insisting I should buy more services.  I mentioned that to the manager and after that it stopped.

I went inside and asked at the counter for the number of the Supervisor and was given Ryan Cahill's office number at corporate.  I called there and asked to speak to him.  They said they would transfer me and I was disconnected instead.  I called back and this time there was no answer.

I called a Cobblestone location and asked how to reach Ryan Cahill.  They gave me his direct extension and I left a message.  As of this time, I have not heard back.

Needless to say, I will no longer go to any Cobblestone location. When the economy turned down, they raised their prices significantly but their service is lacking.
