On 8/5/2015, my wife and I went to Coco's Bistro to celebrate her birthday, as well as the fact that she had just finished her last radiation treatment for breast cancer.  We had gone to Coco's three times, before, when it was located on Wayne Avenue.  Those times had been delightful experiences.  As well, we had recommended Coco's to many of our friends and family.  However, my wife's day of happiness was destroyed by a waitress who refused to look at her, or give her eye contact or decent service.  In fact, whe was very uncomfortable with serviing us.  My wife, due to chemo and radiation therapy, had lost most of her hair.  The waitress literally turned her back to us while pourring water.  It's a wonder it didn't go on the floor.  It was clear that she was uncomfortable with my wife's appearance.  Of course, I brought her obnoxious attitude to the waitresse's attention, but she denied it.   Her attitude made my wife very upset.  As a result, we paid for our wine and salads and left.  As we were leaving, another of Coco's staff approached us outside.  She stated that the waitresses rudeness was cause by the fact that she had to work on her birthday.  What should have been a joyous day of celebration was destroyed by an insensitive idiot.  Only my wife and I were singled out for her cold shoulder.  She had suffered through a bilateral mastectomy, months of chemo and radiation and simply wanted to enjoy a pleasant dinner.  It was the first time she'd felt like going out in nearly a year.  I recommend that anyone who has suffered through anykind of cancer, or knows someone who has, boycott Coco's.  They are not cancer friendly.
