I received dinner service on February 9th, 2011. Dinner not satisfactory. Wait staff moderately so. Went to men's restroom where dinner came up to take a bow. Management was there in next stall relieving themselves. Never bothered to ask how meal was. When approached same manager to tell them about dinner service he told me take a hike and never come back.

Sent an email to corporate headquarters about my experience that same day. They told me someone would be back in touch with me in 12 to 14 business days after investigation was complete. Yesterday, March 14, 2011 I had to call up corporate headquarters to get Coco's to call me back. And today March 15, 2011 they called me back to tell me nothing unusual happened February 9, 2011.

To those of you who are unfamiliar with the location where this particular Coco's Bakery is in Scottsdale. Ever heard of Rodeo Drive out in Beverly Hills, California? The good folks out in Scottsdale would like to think Scottsdale Fashion Square is their answer to their Beverly Hills counterpart. This restaurant sits just several hundred yards out front this Scottsdale mall.

Though I might look disabled. I would like to think I'm intelligent enough to know when I'm being toyed with. Either by restaurant management or corporate. Be advised, if you are disabled proceed with caution with Coco's Restaurant and Bakery.

Well we are not mind readers! Why not just put it all out there the first time??

If you would have posted a clear and concise, complete report the FIRST TIME, many of these statements and rebuttals could have been avoided!

We are NOT mindreaders. You never said what your "disability" was. You never mentioned muslims or any race issues.
And, you never said anything about getting sick or vomiting. Plain and simple, you are very messed up. Not our fault. You should have vomited right over the table or the host stand or the cash register, etc.
That would have made your point clearly.

I would have puked on the muslim idiot manager. Problem solved. Then watch all of the existing and incoming patrons run for cover, and maybe never come back!

My final rebuttal...

And the fact that this particular manager may be a muslim has nothing to do with it? I didn't include certain things in this report because I don't know who may be reading it. I've met good muslim people. And I live right down the road from a muslim community. And just as everyone who posts rebuttals don't tell the world on this internet every facet of themselves, what has happened to them, or their personal lives by "choice" I choose not to either.

And in case nobody has ever visited the Phoenix Metro area you will quickly discover we are a tourist destination for people all over the world. Obviously, we are the Grand Canyon State. And for those s****.> And lets get one thing straight, I've seen Kitchen Nightmares. Gordon Ramsey has been known to eat signature dishes than get up and immediately run to the restroom and vomit the dish out. It doesn't have to be foodbourne illness, or even a stomach virus, it can also be spoiled rotten food the establishment is serving is serving you. Got it people. At least that what I read when I got my food handler's card. You should know this, Inspector - Tobyhanna (USA), or where you sleeping through your culinary schooling the day you were handed your diploma.

About being a nutcase. I wasn't looking to strike up a conversation with anyone in the restroom. I was already in the restoom vomiting up my dinner when when management entered. I had the conversation with him about my dinner out in the front of the house by the register when he told me it would be best for me to leave. That's after telling me some smack about how Coco's food "takes 24 hours to come up and take a bow." Now if my being a nutcase involves a male manager who may be a muslim that doesn't really want to talk with a caucasion male who has a noticeable facial deformity, which is cleft lip and palate, because I'm vomiting up spoiled food served on this manager's watch and he shows me the door and corporate wouldn't even give me a refund with the dinner service. What does that tell you about Coco's as a whole?

And finally. It seems to me that everyone is finding the time to put their two cents in. I don't really give a d**n about you people because you're not here in Arizona, are you? Everyone can b***h at me all they want too. Just to point out you have an awful lot of time on your hands that you could be using to do something constructive to put your energies into do something else rather than chewing me out. I just posted this in hopes that it would get read and that people would be warned about the Scottsdale Road Coco's. Not so I would be personally attacked. That's why I didn't include every detail about my experience. I didn't think I had too. You people obviously are not lawyers, so why should I include every gory detail for your reading pleasure? So that info can be personally attacked? This isn't municipal court people. I hate to burst your bubble; however, I don't answer to any one of you, now, or in the future. Understood.

Where's the ripoff?

I cannot tell from your "story" that there was a ripoff.

You mearly had an unpleasent experience at a restaurant....how is your "disability" producing poor service?

I mean, if you don't like the food, don't eat there.  It does not indicate that anything is wrong with the food just because your stomach couldn't handle it.  Maybe you had a stomach virus.

Move on.

Eat somewhere else. Problem solved.

Your post is confusing as  your thoughts run together, and hard to follow. I also though you approached the manager in the restroom. That is how it is written.

You do appear to be a nutcase.

You never stated exactly what was "not satisfactory".

You state that you are "disabled".
Is this relevent to the issue at hand?
How so?

Also, try some paragraph structure and/or bullet statements.
Get to the point.

Still waiting to understand exactly what the rip off was.

Understand that the entire population nowadays in business is going towards that "take it or leave it" attitude, so just leave it! Go somewhere else!

It's all about choice.

You choose to eat there or not, and they choos to stay in business or not.
It really is very simple.

Where?

There are several things missing from this report.  One major thing is where the heck is any detail on how you were discriminated against?

All we get is that you are upset at the food and that a manager using the restroom did not take the time out from "taking care of business" to ask you how your meal was.  As the person stated above, disabled or not a restroom is not a place people generally go looking to strike up a conversation.

I have a feeling that you mentioned the restroom "issue" when you talked to the manager later.  As I seriously doubt that all you did was go up to the manager explaining your concern about the food in a nice and professional manner.  When after you did the first words out of the managers mouth was to "take a hike and never come back".   What ever parts you are leaving out I am sure don't put you in the best light.

Regarding being a nutcase...

Let me clarify one point. First, NEVER EVER tell someone they're a nutcase when you weren't there to begin with. Secondly, and I know I never clarified this in my original report, it's my fault; however, I was in the lobby, telling the manager about my dinner experience, NOT the restroom. Got it, little one. Peace out

What kind of nutcase goes into the bathroom and complains to the manager IN THE BATHROOM? "Management was in the next stall relieving themselves". "Never bothered to ask how meal was". Who in their right mind WANTS to discuss ANYTHING in the bathroom?  Dude, let the man finish his business in peace. He probably figured you were a stalker or worse.
