My wife noticed that her engine light on the dashboard lit up while driving.  She brought the Subaru to the Coconut Creek Subaru Service department.  The vehicle was asymptomatic  and drove fine.   She was going to wait but the service wait time was too long.  She then requested a shuttle ride back to our home 1.5 miles away.  They stated there was no shuttle available, so she walked back to home.

She received a call back from service dept. and was informed, the spark plugs needed to be replaced and that it would be a minor cost.  She was called that the vehicle was ready to be picked up.  When she went to pay the bill, she was informed it was about $700.  She then called me in a panic, but there was no recourse.  They blatantly mislead her, and then performed unnecessary service activities with labor charges over 60%

Several weeks prior she brought the same vehicle there for brake squeaks and was given an estimate of almost $700.  I brought the vehicle to another service center and the service was performed for 60% less.
