Cohens Fashion Optical No Return Policy Never Mentioned For $180 Ray Bans Returned Less than 24 hours Later Oceanside New York
My daughter bought a pair of ray ban sunglasses from Cohen Fashion Optical in Oceanside New York.
The sunglasses are in the front of the store and she purchased a pair of ray bans on sale for $180 reduced from $210 for which she paid cash. After wearing them for an hour she felt pain behind both ears and on both sides of the bridge of her nose. The very next day she tried to return them and they refused to give her money back. The young lady went on to tell her that they have a no return policy and the sign is in the back of the store where of course very few people would see it. They were very nice and brag about their great customer service before they take your money and even said that it was warranteed with no details. Long story short avoid these scam artists. Unfortunately I see all the bad reviews online after being scammed. In fact I could not find one good review. Thats an impressive record. My hope is that more people will read reviews and avoid being ripped off. In addition , there are many wonderful merchants in town that appreciate our business and everyone should get the word out when they have good and bad experiences.

PLEASE tells us all EXACTLY how you have been scammed. Not giving a refund is NOT a ripoff!! It was a posted sign!!!! Just because YOUR child didn't read it or that YOU don't like where its placed IS NOT A RIPOFF!!! What YOU have done is FAR MORE insulting!!! AND illegal!!! What YOU are doing is FALSLY ACCUSING someone on a media outlet. THAT IS CALLED DEFAMATION!!!! And YOU can be sued for it!!! Odds are that your child AND you are LYING!!! Odds are that your child just didn't like the glasses and chose to take them back. Then when your child is told NO, YOU seem to think its perfectly ok to besmirch a fellow citizen online. It amazes me at how people like yourself will cry SCAM when the REALITY is that YOU DIDNT GET YOUR WAY!!!!! Retail is a different business then it was even 10 years ago. A $180.00 pair of glasses isn't a big item but once they sold it, it was your childs possession 100%. I hope the business that YOU have willingly and with malice have chosen to defame finds YOUR POST!!! Then we will see the next batch of half truths and outright lies that YOU are going to post in an attempt to JUSTIFY what amounts to a unprovoked attack. Get over it and move on, YOU HAVE NOT BEEN RIPPED OFF!!!! A little FACT for you. Do you know WHY signs are placed farther back? Its because the human eye tends to focus on words easier the further away from the center of the eye. You can probably SEE the sign AS YOU WALK IN!!! Meaning they have posted that sign in that spot so YOU WILL READ IT!!!! Ignorance in ALL of its forms should be intolerable, including the ignorance of NOT paying attention. If there is ANY chance that you are going to have to return a item, then its on YOU the person buying said item TO ASK what the return policy is if any. If they have posted a sign, then they have done their part. Morally AND legally!!! Your child NOT READING is NOT THE BUSINESSES FAULT!!!!! YOU are blaming the INNOCENT PARTY in all of this. Just because YOU don't agree with that policy, doesn't give YOU the right to defame and slander. YOU should be ashamed of yourself and EMBARRASSED that the child YOU raised could be SO DENSE!!!! Its REALLY a reflection on YOUR abilities and NOT the company YOU are complaining about. YOU raised a child that couldn't even be bothered to get off their phone long enough to protect themselves. And of course YOU are going to side with your child, because if you make THEM the monster YOU don't have to admit or address the FACT that your child, that YOU raised, wont even take five seconds of their life TO READ!!!
