This company has failed to return my security deposit. Bogus fees were charged to avoid doing so. I moved out of state and this company saw an opportunity and has taken full advantage of it. All of the requirements set forth on the move out checklist were completed including cleaning interior of home, professional carpet cleaning, grass mowed, keys and garage remotes turned in after vacating property. BEWARE, this  company attempts to use scare tactics and intimidate hopefully to where you will drop all complaints to the BBB, and other offices attempting to recover what they have "stolen". The will state they have pictures that were taken before, during, and after occupancy. I've asked them to provide those pictures and have yet to receive them. If so, I seriously dispute the integrity of the pictures. Property was move-in ready when keys were returned after occupancy.

Furthermore, CBDHR was consistently nonresponsive to maintenance requests and several attempts to contact each of the property managers went unanswered. Only after threatening to do the work myself did I get resolution to the maintenance request. To mislead your customers when you have no intention at all to honor what you say is UNETHICAL plain and simple! There is no legitimate reason for failure to return the security deposit, yet I haven't received it. I believe I have a right to the pictures of supposed damages, as well as a list of itemized fees broke down by cost, yet this company has failed to deliver on my request. The numbers simply don't add up and feel it is my obligation to inform others in the San Antonio area about this company's unethical business practice. I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will soon be contacting the Texas Attorney General's Office. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL PAY!!!

We just moved to Colorado from San Antonio and had the exact same thing happen to us. I opened an envelope today expecting to see our returned security deposit and was instead met with a remaining balance of $2636 after our security deposit was taken, which they're saying we have to pay within 10 days! We have multiple neighbors and witnesses to attest to the fact that most of the charges are absolutely bogus.

We are military and will be taking this to our Legal office to get looked at and to dispute. There is no way we can come up with $2636 in ten days. We had inspections every 6 months on the property and 80% of the things listed here that we have to pay for were never brought up as an issue.

Hopefully you were able to get some of your money back at some point. We still have no idea what we are going to do...
