Coldwell Banker Mortgage They took money from me knowing that I wouldn't be approved. Internet, Illinois
I got there number from an agent. When I called & spoke to someone they had me talk to whoever gets the information for the loans. I gave him my figures and told them that the divorce I went through had been finalized in September of 2009. I was being told that I could get my house refinanced by myself no problem. I was always being promised the world. I had asked the simple question what will happen if it's not approved. I'd be told that I would owe money depending how far they went. But I'd be told how much and when I had to get them the money. And right up front they knew I didn't have money to waste. Divorce is very expensive! They came back telling me the figures looked good and I was fine. They where going to send me paper work to sign so I could close in Dec.'09. And they went over the figures of the costes for refinacing. They where higher by $1,500 than anyother mortgage company but I didn't think too much of that. Because I needed to lower my payments and get my exhusband name off the loan. I signed the paper work and sent them a copy in the packet of the divorce papers and the quit claim deed. So that information had the dates on them. Then I'm asked over the phone for my checking account info. and was told that it's to hold $1.00.
Once again I asked about if I didn't get approved for the loan that I would have time to get money into that account. Yes and I was also told I'd be let known how much. I told the guy that I don't keep extra money in that account so I'd need time to get in into the account and that wouldn't not be a problem. They did the appraisal. Then I get the call from the processor that know I need 6months of mortgage payments I've made myself. Well there wasn't any because of the time of the divorce and I'd paid some payments with cash that I'd saved from my paychecks while going through the divorce. Then I'm told that I won't be helped. I get the loan officer on the phone and he's saying to write a letter explaining the cash and that will be fine. I then get the call from the processor again letting me know that I will not be approved. I asked if I was all done with them. He said yes no mention anything about owning them money or even how much.I got a letter from my bank fri. Jan.15th that my account was over drawn and I was being charged daily for the negative amount in there. It had cost me over $400 that I didn't have to get my account straightened out. I've left messages for the loan officer to get this problem solved and that I was mad. I haven't received any calls back about this. They took advantage of a 28yr. old who doesn't have the money for extra charges.
