thinking of using Alied van lines for your next long distance move?  Well we did and it was the biggest mistake of our lives!!!!!! They have a salesman (Jim Anderson) who must be on commision, because this guy will lie to you from day one, we asked him how long it might take to get our belongings from Omaha, Ne. to Fort Myers Fl. his qupte was 5-7 days LIE!!!!!!!!!!! When we got the contract from Coleman ( Alied's farmed out carrier) it was 3 weeks, then when 3 weeks went by Alied told us that the did not honor contracts and it would take as long as it takes so get over it.So we had to sit in an empty house for a month but did they care??? NO!!!!! Well 4-1/2 weeks later we got most of our belongings excxept for some very valuable items which they said was too bad since we didn't biy insurance, which brings us back to Jim Anderson and Coleman in Omaha, they told us that we could not buy additional insurance because we had already accepted the quote, so now for over 3,000.00 of musical equpment we get .60 a ound for it, also if yuo do happen  to diregard this and use Alied be real careful of coleman if they are used for a carrier, they are terrible very unproffesional and had no idea what they were doing, so up to you but I highly recomend not using them , also from our experience with them they will NEVER call you bac or try to help you in any way, this is from our experience only not made up or fictionalized n any way like Jack Webb used to say "just the facts" We made this mistake and are just passing it along hoping to save other people from having to go through what we did and lose some valuable and unreplaceable parts of your lives, thanks
