Flew to Denver to look at a car that I couldn't find back home. Keep in mind I'm totally willing to fly back home empty handed. Arrived at this "car lot" which is an old gas station. Cars crammed in every possible position in every corner of the place. Total disorganized mess. Find a salesman and tell him I flew here to look at this car. He goes and gets the keys.

In the first 70 feet, there are several dash warning lights and the info screen is telling me about the faults. We take it to their "mechanic" and he clears the codes. Ok, codes can happen with a dead or weak battery. No big deal.

The car rides nice and feels good except for the brakes, which are warped. The salesman actually says "They gettin' betta every time ya step on 'em" which is absolutely a lie. I am fairly mechanically inclined and I can change these parts so I tell them to knock a couple hundred off and we'll talk about it.

Then a clunking happens when you corner. This particular car has a known issue with sway bar links. Same story, knock some money off the price and we can deal.

I buy the car and drive it home. I am now nearly $4,000 into this car for just repairs.

Axles (CV boots torn and obviously had been for a long time), water pump (which had been leaking for some time), idler and tensioner pulleys, sway bar bushings, wheels (offset didn't match but the style did), tires (alignment was off and the car ate them), oil pressure sensor and inner/outer tie rods.

Also despite what BG says, this car has been wrecked at least twice!! These guys are a joke and I'm betting they're scamming people out there a lot. They need to be shut down.

- No you weren't. You went there and was going to buy that car regardless of the condition. How do we know?

You started the car and got several dash warning lights. You had brake issues. You got a "clunking" when going around corners. Yet with all of those "issues" you  still bought the car because they took some money off.  Now, why did they take money off...

I am fairly mechanically inclined and I can change these parts so I tell them to knock a couple hundred off and we'll talk about it.
- Apparently you are not, as if you just had to buy the parts you would be talking hundreds of dollars. If you are in for around $4,000 you are having someone else do the work.

This is nothing but a case of Buyer's Remorse. You knew exactly what you were getting and still bought the car.
