Complaint Review: Colin James Sweeney

This guy is a compulsive liar and possible sociopath. My friend met him online (they live in 2 different states) and found out all kinds of stuff about him, thankfully, before they had a chance to meet face to face. He wanted to meet her in person almost immediately, as in ridiculously quickly. He wanted to go to her house right away--he made excuses as to why they couldn't meet halfway. The whole situation was just really weird.

He claims he owns restaurants in Pittsbugh, PA and Steubenville, OH--there are no records of such restaurants.  He sent my friend pics of "his" house--she found the same pictures on a real estate ad in his area--he had taken pictures of a house that was in a For Sale ad on the internet and passed them off as his own house.

He has a 17 year criminal record in Tucson, AZ including a restraining order, posession of a controlled substance, and interfering with court proceedings.  He told my friend that he was involved in the Mafia or Mob or something.  He refuses to fly and we think that he may be a fugitive.  There were many small things that didn't add up, also. He said he lived
alone but every time she was on the phone with him, she could hear someone in the background. That person even answered the phone one time and obviously lived there.

When she started to cool things down a bit, he got really nasty to her and sent her a message basically threatening to stalk her.

STAY AWAY from this man. He could be dangerous.

I am very embarrassed to say that I was in a relationship with Colin Sweeney for a couple years starting in 2001. Everything you have said about him is true. You are actually missing some information and troubling details surrounding his arrests and horrible things he has done to people. He owes so many people money and lives off so many lies that its very disturbing that he actually believes them. He is constantly released from jail on his own recognizance, even though at one time he was actually a federal fugitive. He managed to stay under the radar for so long that they converted his case and slapped him on the wrist. He is a serial predator and will never stop as long as courts continue to set him free.

Wilcox ..... haha, you dont even know where he opened it. As for three days, again you have no clue. This girls name is Jillian Puglisi. A crazy dumb woman , Who likes to cause drama. If you're a friend of her's ? you might want to rethink that friendship because she talks bad about everyone she knows!!! If you'd like to call and talk with her here is her number. Stacks? you are grasping at straws. See here's your problem!! Your grabing at things just to make everything alittle worse then it is. And as for the restaurant only being open 3 days. well that's not true. As for a restaurant in Steubenville ohio being called stacks, well you know that not to be true!!

You accuse one of the posters to be him. When in fact it is not! But you just assume that it is, because thats how shallow you are. We also see that again you never mention the fact that you still stole the airplane ticket from him. Or the fact that you really dont know anything about what you say. You talk about his kids. What does that have to do with anything??? As for the check that he felt sorry for you for, and you told him that you would shred because you would not use it. And then tried to cash it over a month later? Without saying anything to him, until after you tried to cash it??? And he refused to pay it, because you had said you would never use it?? This is a joke!! You are a joke!!!

the very sad truth is the first report was posted in 2007, I felt very bad for the girl who had the balls to be the first to post.  this documentation has only been recorded for 4 years....who else is out there?  who else is scared of this nuisance and  beligerent excuse for a man?  my experience was cut much shorter when a friend tipped me off to this report...it saddens me to think of how many other women and/or men have been duped by this dope.  let's talk about facts:
-colin offered to fly me to Pittsburgh to see him, I could not afford the ticket at the time, he OFFERED.  i arranged vacation time and 1 hour before i got on the plane, I called to conifrm.  The ticket was confirmed, but not PAID FOR.  When I learned of this, I called him and let him know I was going home and to not contact me.  I turned off my phone for hours, when I turned it back on he was calling me in a frenzy to get to the airport, that he had a ticket in my name.  Yep, he sure did, but I was not about to go.  So, this was now my fault.  He found so many reasons why it was the airlines fault that the ticket purchase never went through....just as it is always someone else's fault.
-Colin insisted on renting a house from a friend of mine for over 2K a month.  When I questioned why in the world did he need to rent a house for that amount of money when he could rent a furnished studio apartment in the same area for around $700/mo, he said "because I can".  keep in mind he was going to "travel back and forth from PA to AZ to run the "restuarants", so he wanted to keep his so-called city loft in Pittsburgh.  Went it came time to pay rent and the long overdue deposit, he told us this elborate story about how his "restaurant" in stuebenville PA flooded and the the safe in which he kept cash was in the basement.  seriously, I feel so foolish that I even listened to this horseshit let alone gave him the benefit of the doubt, but quite frankly, sometimes "baffle em with bull**it" is the ticket....who could make this s**t up.  needless to say, he was escorted from the property after a week of this s**t. 
-he claims to have owned or does still own a breakfast joint in PA, stuebenville to be exact called "Stacks", but told me he closed it for a week to paint when I said a friend of mine in the area wanted to take her family, and avoided giving me an address.  There is however, a Stacks in several states, none of which are linked to him. 
-he opened up a new breakfast joint in Wilcox AZ called Griddles, it was open for 3 days, I'm assuming the checks started bouncing.
-he sent me gifts to my work including 5 days of flower deliveries totaling approx 10 flower arrangements..not sure who he stole that money from
-he sent me a $1000 personal check, to "help" me out.  i cashed it to call his bluff, and of course within days it was charged back to me....of course i knew this was going to happen, just kept the money in savings.  He then attacked me because I cashed it after saying I didn't want his money, my response, "don't write a check you can't honor"
-Colin sent me many gifts, one of which was two bottles of cataloged wine...God only knows where he stole that from. 
-It took 4 days for Colin to get from PA to Tucson on what was supposed to be a 3 day weekend ...BY PLANE...he said he was layed over in O'Hare for bad weather...yep, there was bad weather, but 4 days....it's Planes, Trains and Automobiles

This guy is full of s**t...and he has a tendency to intimidate by anger and impatience.  He gets very defensive whenever he is questioned.  It is time to stop this cycle.  He needs help, whether that is psychicatric or imprisonment....it needs to happen.  He has two children (documented) in the Pima County courts that he has never paid child support to.  He is wanted in NM for an outstanding warrant.  He has had fraud charges for bad check writing as well (go figure).  He lives just below the radar and somehow he still manages to bring misery into many lives, yet it's ironic that most of us pay our taxes, pay our speeding tickets and are raped yearly on our returns...what gives him the right to meander through life creating such annoyance and drama?

It's rather easy to do a public records search for the Tucson, Arizona area where this guy has been arrested multiple times.  In fact, Google his name!  You will see people posting "reviews" like this on Colin James Sweeney for years and years in a row.

It's rather sad to see him hop on and attempt to defend himself.  It's kinda like the saying goes "Don't piss on my leg and tell me that it's raining" - same goes for this. 

And yes he does make an effort of sending off copies of restaurant menus and such, which is even more pathetic.  This guy has put effort into being the gem that he is.  Too bad his stories, or methods, don't change.

The person who wrote this lies, What she leaves out is the fact that Mr. Sweeney, bought her a plane ticket to Pittsburgh. That she never used and basicaly stole. Never returned the money or the ticket, also what she doesnt say. Is that yes he wanted her to have a good life, and not complain about her job. And who doesnt want the best for people that they date? Also for a person who doesnt care about money, then why would you marry someone for $10,000, so they could stay in the country??? I believe thats illegal. This person has emailed his friends !! I've worked for the guy for 4 years now. And the reason she never got on the airplane was because she didnt want to be proven wrong..... Much easier to believe what you want too. Instead of having to say that your sorry.. And didnt you get pictures of all the bullshit that you wanted.. Pictures, menu's, everything like that?? I believe you did!! You hide behind your bullshit!! And i dont recall him ever emailing you or calling you from any court!!! You need to just buck up. And stop your b.s.!!!! And never carries a wallet??? What is that?? And as for the slander part... Didnt you email all of your "friends" The ones who told him that you did, and said things that you didnt know if they where true or not??? And as for not being good looking. Well, thats something I've never ever heard....... I mean really grow up!!!! And act your age!!!! And it would be my hope, that you can move on. Stop saying the things you do, and GET OVER IT!!!!
