We used Colin Powell from Northampton to decorate and fit carpet to our new first home together. We constantly had to tell him where he had missed patches of painting and despite him never being around he eventually finished.
His idea was to go around the rooms and put post-it-notes on every missed patch!
The main issue was he told us he could fit carpet so we spent over a 1,000.00 on having a wool carpet fitted. Again we had to call him back as the fitting was terrible. He had cut the width too short and there were creases everywhere due to the ill fitting.
We called him back again and complained as it was coming up in areas and his solution was to staple it to the floor!!!! His colleague said it was one of the worst cases he had seen and then confessed there would be nothing we could do as Colin was going to declare himself bankrupt!
Colin left and we never heard any more - no offer to try and rectify the situation in any means so we ended up being out of pocket with nothing we could do.
