Collect Pros I too received an "Attempt to collect a debt" letter for $332.50 for US Weekly Magazine. Never Requested Never Received Woburn Massachusetts
It appears I am another recipient of a fradulent attempt from Collect Pros to collect a charge for US Weekly Magazine, which I never ordered, never wanted and never received. I did not fall for it and have NOT sent them the check or money order they requested
The charge was for $332.50 for US Weekly Magazine, and stated that "unless you notify us within 30 days after your receipt of this letter that the validity of this debt, or any portion of it, is disputed, we will assume the debt is valid. If you notify us in writing of """"""we will obtain verification of the debt or a copy of a judgment, if any, and mail it to you.
I looked on the internet and Collect Pros did appear on the search. But several reports that this was a fraud also showed up. That is how I found ripoffreport.com and noted that this exact scam has been reported from several states.
