Collectionsetc Fraudulent Merchandise "Real Junk" BERKELEY, Illinois
I ordered 4 Christmas rugs and a 42" Christmas tree. The pictures did not display the items I received. The Christmas tree were a few odd shape branches place on a pole. There was no way to shape them-plus the plastic pot was well rounded on the bottom and wouldn't stand up. The rugs were a fine thread woven around a mat. The first snag would have pulled all the threads loose. I actually stuck them back in the box and sent them back the next day.
I always insure anything I send back and get a tracking slip. I checked to see if the packages had arrived back to Collectionetc. and the post office said it had. I gave it a couple weeks for the refund to be credited to my card and it never was. So I called Collectionsetc.
I gave them my tracking number and they said they would check on it. Finally the man said I found it and I would do the refund he said to allow 5 days. I called and spoke with a woman after several days she said she saw where a refunded was requested and than canceled.
I told her the complaint would not be filed with their company. So I finally kept sending e-mail and treating to file a complaint with someone. Finally they credited back 19.00 of what they owed me. They still owe another 42.00 . I know this may not be much money, but if it was a dollar I would do the same. It's the principle of the matter. I kept a log of all my phone calls and the names and time of the people I spoke with.
