I heard of Collins College through class mates of mine during my senior year of High School. I saved up the placement money of $300 and sent it in and was asured by my advisor That he was speaking with financial aid and grants and loans were being set up in my name.

I live in Lewisville TX near Dallas and was plaining to drive out there for the 2 year course. It sounded awasome. More of your degree class time, less english, math, and history. Me and two other class mates were planning to drive out there.

It was about one week until I was supposed to leave and I contacted my advisor and he said everything was ready for me to come out. I asked about the grants and loans and he said it was ok, but financial aid was supposed to contact me. I asked for the number, and he heasitated but gave it to me.

I contacted me and not only did they not have anything ready but had not heard from my advisor. Please do not give them any money. Find another way to get yoru degree.

It's very easy. Take them to small claims court, after you get a letter from financial aid stating that your advisor did not contact them, and there is no financial assistance coming.

Also, when you get to your college, PLEASE, sign up for an English class and maybe a writing course. You need it.

maybe your advisor had a different plan - financial aid and grants were nothing more then a fat bucket of hope

Maybe your advisor had plans of having you sign a long a*s contract like a BIG FAT LOAN to pay for the school. I bet he never told you how much your schooling would cost after all was said and done.

Maybe the financial aid and grants were nothing more then a fat bucket of hope he was hanging over your head. Maybe he had plans to wait until after your long trip out here then hand you a LONG CONTRACT to sign.

Kinda like many car dealers. They tell you it's all GOOD over the phone. Once you hit their lot, WHAM! bad news, But here is what we can do for you.

Most sales people hang the good news/hope over the consumers head until they get you in front of their desk then WHAM, the BAD NEWS comes out. Maybe he is paid on a commission basis and was afraid that if he told you the real truth that you would hang up on him.

Have to remember that many are just out for that next sale. $$$ The best thing that I can tell you don't feel bad, you are not the only one that feels the way you do about Collins College. The best news I have for you is none of the below Rip Off Reports will be deleted. Hope that makes you feel better.
