Colon XR Colon xR SCAM - DON'T FALL PREY !!!! Internet
Colon xR is nothing but a scam. I'm ususally pretty good about not falling into these traps but I followed an MSNBC link to this product for a trial sample with just the cost of $5.95 s&h. The site had these supposed reviews from CBS News, MSNBC, WebMD, etc... stating its effectiveness. After a week of using this product, I could not feel or notice any difference and decided to cancel before they would start charging my account monthly. Well for two days the phone # of 888-820-2656 was either busy or specified as a non-working number. I started checking and found several other reviews from users who have determined this "company" to be nothing more than a scam. On 1/2/09, I finally got through to "John" at the phone number above who did not have any problem taking my cancellation order. However, when I questioned him about refunding the charge of $78.84 already hitting my account, he did not freely or quickly state that a refund would be submitted. When I further questioned this, John stated that there would be a 30% processing charge. Agast at the thought of this, I quickly stated on the "recorded' conversation that I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau stating that there was absolutly no mention of this in the fine print and that I believed what they are doing is illegal. He quickly changed his tune to state that I would be provided a full refund and even provided a confrmation number for both the cancellation & the refund. I think I'll have my credit card number changed as a precaution... DON'T FALL PREY TO THIS SCAM AS I DID !!!
