On August 27,2003 we had purchased a new Volkswagen Jetta.
We were excited because after looking at every car in the same class, we had chosen the Jetta.

My whole life I wanted a Volkswagon Cabrio. I didn't care that I had to settle for a Jetta.

I was very happy. On August 31, 2003, that's only four days after I had purchased my new Jetta the transmission started having problems. Only having 183 miles on the vehicle, we returned it to Colonial Volkswagon/Subaru where our Jetta had been purchased.

Upon return I thought being a reputable dealership, they would replace our Jetta. Instead we were absolutely treated as though it were to bad. That is why cars are sold with a warranty.

After being dissapointed by the sales department, who just got us for almost $20,000, we went to visit the service department. The service manager told us the transmission was defective. Never have I felt so terrible. I went from being so excited to so dissapointed. We were at this point angry.

We were contacted by a Volkswagon representative. He assured us that it was not a defective transmission. It was a valve that would not open, a problem that would be taken care of immediatly.

We were relieved.

On October 9,2003 our new Jetta was returned for the same problem. Once again were told the transmission is defective. We have contacted customer care and have had no success.

On October14,2003 we recieved our vehicle and were told good luck. On October 15,2003 we are returning our jetta again.

I can honestly say that I will tell everyone that Volkswagon does not stand behind their vehicles. Most importantly, Colonial Volkswagon, does not care about their customers. They have no problem taking your money, but they do not deliver quality. I am in the customer service buissness and always make good for our mistakes. We don't make excuses. I expect to be treated with the same level of professionalism and courtesy.
Resectivly yours
