The Color Festival is a scam. They plan events and gather funds only to later cancel events. Information can be found on Facebook on the Color Festival main page. That is where they list and sell tickets through Event Brite only to later cancel events and not refund ticket sales. They posted a page for the cancelled Portland event, but nobody has been able get a refund and emails are kicked back as "unrecognized." They delete comments from angry customers, but most have seen the comments and many are still up for viewing.

What seems to be happening is the proceeds from each cancelled event are going towards a larger event that does occur.  So far there have been 3 cancelled events for every event held, which means there's a profit from 4 events and no refunds to the cancelled ones. People are angry and tickets are $20 a person which doesn't sound like much until you add up what the "business" profits. If it's figured approximately 250 per event X 4 events is $20,000 and no idea what it costs to host 1 event, but there seems to be a huge profit here.

They put legitimate color events in the "Press" section of their menu which are not associated with their group. It seems they use those to legitimize their events. After all, it is a color event that's supposed to represent the famous Holi Fest of peace, but they will give the Holi Festival a bad name! The real Holi Festival of Colours actually occurs in Spring worldwide! There is nothing peaceful about what this ripoff Color Festival is doing!
