Colorado Heights University TLHU, Teikyo Loretto Heights University Don't get ripped off by this fake university Internet, Colorado
Where do I begain. There is oh so much to say about this insitution. I was an employee at CHU formerly Teikyo Loretto Heights University. Things turned south ever since Tony came on board, and re-hired the dumbest person I've ever come across (Luke). It seems him and his wife is running the show for Tony now. These people should be sued for wrongfull termination to several former employees. Among these people included the former President of the University.
But this is not about how dumb these people are. It is about the potential and current student population. Please, I hope this finds current students and those who are thinking of enrolling in this school. This school now has made it it's policy to take advantage of International students. They bring them here on shady Student visas, and demand that they pay an outrageous tution. If they can't meet the demans they are threaten with deportation. I had a former student bring this up to me durring my tenure there. Unfortunately I was not able to help him, and only could watch as scandel after scandel unfolded.
When I brought this up as I couldn't just do nothing. I found myself on the wrong side of the fence and was terminated shortly after. I feel bad as I couldn't do anything about the situation.
The so called university also has an ESL program. Again, they will over charge the student. If you do a price comparrison, CHU will be 20 to 30% more then other local ESL programs. Students do not be deceived any longer. Do your homework, you can find other schools much cheaper then CHU. They quality of the teachers are sub-par and have no real interest in teaching these students. I had a lot of students complain that they were not challenged. I don't know what the faculty is thinking, but these students aren't dumb, most if not all have an advance degree from their country.
So I write this report in hopes that it reaches all protential and current students. Also, homeland security might want to keep a closer eye on the school for issuing questionable student visas. If any authorative entity is reading this, I recomend an audit of the school records.

In the original report, I am referred to as Luke's wife. The goal of this rebuttal is not to defend the university, as I no longer work there, but my reputation and that of my husband.
If you had your facts straight, you would know that Luke resigned in March 2009. I then resigned in September 2009. I never--NEVER--did anything illegal or unethical to my knowledge while I worked at TLHU/CHU, and researched rules and regulations to ensure what I was doing was correct. I would be happy to have any authorities to investigate my individual work while I was there, because I don't have anything to hide.
As for Luke, I have no need to defend him other than by saying that his intelligence should not be in question, as he is one of the most intelligent people I know; obviously, you did not know him well enough to make such a judgment.
I do not fully comprehend the situation at the university now, but I know there are still some really good people who work at CHU, and who want the best for any current/potential students. I agree, as with any university or school, that students should do their research to find the best educational program for their individual needs.
Finally, to the original reporter--I'm sorry for any bad experiences you may have had with me or my husband, but I would suggest that if you plan to continue teaching, you might consider proofreading your writing in the future.
