We stayed there for one long weekend because we just bought a 5th wheel for the purpose to take to the river. We were actually looking into some type of membership where we could leave our 5th wheel there for the summer so that we wouldn't have to haul it back an forth all summer long and could get out there faster and more often.

We went into the presentation, which wasn't a presentation at all... it was a short video followed by a person very much like a used car salesman. He talked so fast and just kept throwing things at us that were supposed to be free. I asked again and again if we would be able to have guests and if we would be able to leave our trailer there for the summer.

We were told that they only needed 24hrs. notice from members and we were guaranteed a spot and we could have guests.  Well the first time we went to Emerald Cove we brought our parents and were told it was $30 a night for guests and they weren't allowed to stay on the water and had to be 3 rows back from us. We all were so upset and that ruined our vacation.

We were never told this, but thought, that's ok we like Havasu Springs better so the following year I called in April to reserve a spot for the end of May, thinking I would give them some notice even though they only needed 24hrs. notice. We wanted to leave our trailer there for the summer and do the 21in 7 out thing.

We were then told that they were booked and we would have to go to another resort. The thing is we bought our membership at Havasu Springs because we like it better and were told since we bought it there, it would be our home park and we would have priority. Well it was all lies... we were never able to leave our trailer there, we had to haul everytime.

I am wondering what good is a membership if its costing more to be a member, then if we just paid the nightly rate? The following winter they sent a man to our City, stating that we needed new id cards. We met with him and they took pictures fo the new cards, but then sat us down and tried to sell us, what seemed like a new membership for $5,000 more.

We were told in the begining that what we signed was a lifetime membership and nothing would change, but when this guy came we were going to have to pay more to keep what we already had. They were taking away some of your benefits. Is that legal? We were told everything would stay the same including the yearly fees, but now they want to increase that.

We left that meeting so mad and wanted to get rid of it right away.  I called to see what I could do and they don't let you out, you have to sign it over to someone else. We don't have anyone to sign it to so I asked if we could sell it and they said sure, and they will help, but it has to be paid off. Wel since then we have moved to Texas and won't be hauling our trailer that far. I called to pay it off and asked what they do to heip and all she said was that they give us the paperwork we need.

They don't help you sell it.  We were never able to use the membership for what they promised us and then took privaleges away. Didn't they break the contract?  I care about getting my money back, I just don't want to have to pay them anymore or the monthly fees.
