Complaint Review: Colorful Changes AKA Dvorak Construction

Colorful Changes aka. Dvorak Construction is not one with whom you should trust. Following a fire, I contracted them to re-paint the entire inside of our 2100 sq. ft. home at a price of $6000. Our insurance company paid them prior to the completion of the job. They painted over all of the windows and window hardware, door hardware, mirrors, cabinetry knobs and hardware, and caused significant damage to the home. After only 2-3 weeks all of the paint was flaking off of the walls and it was clear that they had not cleaned or primed the walls as they were contracted to.

We took Colorful Changes to Magistrate (small claims) court and won a judgment for $7500. They appealed the judgment to State court and the judge awarded us an increased judgment of $9000 plus 12% interest per year due to their abusive litigation.

To date, they have not paid a dime of that judgment and they have closed all accounts listed as Colorful Changes. They now operate under Dvorak Construction in Lilburn Georgia, at least until they get sued again -- then they'll just change names again in order to avoid taking responsibility for their actions.
