Complaint Review: Columbia Construction Company

This company rips off subcontractors to help themselves and owners make money and save money.  They bid jobs low to get them and then keep the money owed to subcontractors at the end of the job.  It took us 6 months to get paid over $40,000 they owed us and they shorted us over $25,000 of our final draw.  The owner of the job had to get involved and get the subs paid because Columbia messed up the whole job for everyone because they are incompetant.  David Schatzberg is nothing but a crook who wouldn't return phone calls and quit answering his phone.  David Schatzberg is a crook.  Avoid Columbia Construction Services, they only stay in business by ripping off subcontractors.  They have had many liens filed on their jobs by subcontractors.  Owners should avoid hiring Columbia Construction Services as well because they can mess up the job, cause long delays, and wind up with many liens and problems at the end of the job.  This is the worst construction company I have ever had the displeasure of working with, they messed up the job so bad that we worked on it's a miracle any of the subs got paid anything.  And every subcontractor on the job had to wait more than 6 months to get paid, and get ripped off at the end.  Mark Provenzano is a crook, so is David Schatzberg.
