I recently joined Columbia House DVD. I recieved 5 DVDS for a small price in agreement to purchase 5 more DVDS within a year.

My boyfriend didn't think this was a great deal, so I got on their website to inquire how i could cancel this membership. There was a button that said "cancel membership". Thinking that it was going to take me to another screen, i pressed it, but it automatically canceled. I immediately sent them an email saying that i didn't mean to do that and i would like to keep my account open.

A couple of weeks later i get a charge on my card for $110. After researching the web for awhile i finally found a number to call and the person on the other end told me that they could reactivate my account but would not refund my card. i begged and pleaded to speak with a supervisor but they refused to connect me. I asked them why they could not refund my card if i did not wish to cancel my membership and they replied that once a charge is made to a card, it is their policy that it cannot be refunded. That is an unexceptable answer as far as i'm concerned.

Everytime i call to speak with a supervisor they will not tranfer me unless i give them an explanation as to why i need to speak with a supervisor. When i tell them it is regarding money that was charged to my card, they refuse to connect.
