Columbia House victimized many consumers the business that doesnt give a dam Terre Haute Indiana
I contacted them months ago by phone and told them not to bill my debit card any longer. It stopped for a short time then they started doing it again. I called again andt the person was very rude and hung-up on me. I sent them emails to stop charging my card, many emails. They charged me for 2 dvds and a video, I live on a limited income as I am ill so this caused me to be overdrawn. They would not return the money till I returned the merchandise which I did not recieve for almost a month. So by the time I could make a deposit I owed $171.00 in late fees. My bank told me they are responsiable and should return the 171.00.
I wrote them and told them what my bank said when I recieved an answer all they did was apologize but never mentioned the bank, or the money they owe me. This has caused me so many problems my there were other bills I could'nt pay because of this, I have been so upset about this, I never dreamed that a well known company would stoop to such slimy tactics, I'm totally disgusted with them and they don't care what they are doing to people, something should be done about them. To me it seems illegal.

I went to my bank and had my visa debit card hot carded after getting charged yet another time. I was relieved thinking that they could not charge me any longer. Well I was wrong some how they got my bank account number and charged me another $25.94 by using my bank account number. I immediately went to my bank to tell them about it and they have no idea how they got my bank account information. So now I closed the whole account I cannot believe that they can legally get away with these tactics. If I had the money I would definately have a lawyer. They seem to think they can do whatever they want.
