On two separate occasions in August 2003 I purchased 2-way radios from Fry's Electronics in Tempe, Arizona. Within the prescribed time period I filed two $25 rebate requests with Columbia Telecommunications.

Between December 1 and December 17, 2003 I made approximately 100 phone calls to Columbia's 800 number (busy every time with no provisions for leaving a voice mail).

On December 3 and December 11, 2003 I sent E-mails to Columbia. As of today - December 28, 2003 - I have not received a response to either E-mail.

On December 17, 2003 I filed an online complaint with the Farmingdale, NY Better Business Bureau. The BBB has said it will take about 30 days to get a response to me.

Ther has been no communication of any kind from Columbia as of today.

On December 17, 2003 I filed an online complaint with the NY BBB. On January 12, 2004 I received both rebate checks after Columbia had been contacted by the BBB.

It seems from my experience that Columbia does respond to the BBB --- so, if you are intent on getting your rebate this may be the way to do it.
