AFTER CANCELING MY CABLE IN JAN. 04, I WAS TOLD I WOULD ONLY HAVE TO PAY 30.60 AND THEN 2 WEEKS LATER I GOT A BILL FOR 15.74 FOR A MISTAKE THEY MADE. I PAID THE BILL EVEN THOUGH MY CABLE SERVICE WASN'T WORKING RIGHT BECAUSE OF FEAR OF CREDIT BE RUIN BY THIS. NOW THEY ARE SAYING I DIDN'T PAY THE EXTRA AND TURN IT OVER TO COLLECTION AGENCY WHICH I HAVE WROTE THEM ONCE ALREADY AND THIS 15.74 WON'T GO AWAY.

EVEN AFTER I PAID THE BILL THE COMPANY STILL SENDING COLLECTION NOTICES IN THE MAIL. BOTH MY CHECKS WERE FROM BANK ONE,1/02/04 CK 288 FOR 30.60 AND 3/13/04 CK 326 FOR 15.74. I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THEIR BULL ANY MORE MY DAD IS IN THE HOSPITAL. THE COLLECTION NEW LETTER IS DATED 4/5/04 AND SAYS I DIDN'T PAY 15.74.(CREDIT PROTECTION ASSOCIATION, L.P 13355 NOEL RD., DALLAS,TX 75240, J.W. PRESTON

they should be able to credit your account

Bring a copy of the cashed check, money order tracking, or cash receipt to your local office and they should be able to credit your account and get your credit report fixed. Sometimes payments are misapplied or are lost. Shouldn't be a problem if you take care of the matter in a timely manner.

Hope this helps
