When we added DVR service from Comcast, the 2 DVR mailed to us did not work.  Following receipt of those DVRs, we have had them replaced 6 times in 3 months do to them being defective.  In essence, they did not work and we could not use them.  After about a week of service from the replacement DVRs, our TV would freeze up due to the DVR.

At present we have been attempting to, once again, have a Technician come to find this latest problem with our DVRs, or, once again, replace them.  We have also asked that their Technician check all the wiring and signal for any thing that could be causing their DVR to stop functioning.

We have made 5 appointments with COMCAST for a Technician, and 5 times they have not showed up.  One half hour prior to the scheduled time for their arrival we receive a recorded message from COMCAST.  This message confirms our appointment, and we have to confirm that we will be home.  Out appointment today was from 1PM to 3PM, so we received their recorded message at 12:30.  When they fail to appear we call COMCAST and receive a recorded message that our appointment has been changed.  As with our appointment today, August 6, it has been changed to Saturday, August 10.  However, COMCAST does not call us to advise us that the Technician will not be here or that the appointment has change.  This leaves us sitting home for 2 hours waiting for the repairman.

When an appointment is not kept and the customer not notified, their policy is to take $20.00 off your billing.  So for this month's bill it has come to $80.00.  However, when we call about their "no show" they are not shy to accuse you of cancelling the appointment yourself, as if you are running a scam.

Now we have an appointment this coming Saturday, as we have had 4 other appointments change, yet they do not show up for those either.  These 5 missed appointment were for 1 original appointment and then 4 changed appointments that they also did not keep.

Cable service is the same as buying a new car.  If you purchase a new car and get a really good deal on it, the car is worthless if you cannot get it serviced when it breaks down.

I am 73 years old, retired Military, Vietnam Veteran and have Stage 4 cancer.  The enjoyment of my day are my evenings watching TV and being able to record the shows that I like.

I would advise those of you looking for a Cable Provider to stay away from COMCAST.
