I am trying to assist my in-laws as they have been billed and paying 45.95 a month for internet service since Comcast took over from AT&T in 2002. They have repeatedly indicated this to Comcast, but Comcast tells them if they don't pay it, they will cut off their cable services, so they pay. Comcast will not fix the problem, and continue to bill even after they picked-up the modem, which we have proof of. We are now having to fax them the work order to prove they picked up their equipment. I have spoken with the corporate office whose number is 1-888-610-0995, who justifies not refunding this family their money "because they kept paying it". This seems unbelievable, I know, but sadly true! When I became involved in July 2005, one of their employees actually advised we take legal action because Comcast had inaccurately billed this family for a long time. I hope she still has her job.
