New residents to Fairfield, CA Travis AFB.  My wife called who she thought was Comcast but ended up reaching a company called Techzilla aka Saveology who conducted the call in a way that would make you believe you were speaking to a Comcast agent. They spoke about special pricing on packages and the like. They then ask you of you already have your own equipment. They then offer you equipment for $199 and tell you in 18 weeks you will receive a rebate She must have googled "comcast" and the link she chose was a fraud site. I am researching her history now to find the exact url. I called Techzilla aka Saveology at 877-713-5405 and spoke to one agent who was rude and asked for a supervisor who's name was Shawn #17587. I asked him to pick up this equipment via UPS call tag. He refused. He told me it does not work that way. I told him I did not order this equipment and had no need for it. He told me I would have to ship it back to them at my expense. I told him I would contest the charge with my bank and he said he has the recording of us ordering it etc. Complete bull. I spent an hour getting to the bottom of this and confirming this is not an authorized 3rd party of comcast. I will be calling the Comcast headquarters on Monday to advise them of the situation.

I spoke to someone from Comcast today, he called me after I contacted Executive Customer Service. He acknowledged Saveology is an authorized 3rd Party. He also confirmed selling equipment is what they do. He continued to make excuses for them even after I explained the way they midrepresented themselves and how they slammed our credit card. I recorded the call and when I told him he freaked out. Then I asked him see you recording me? I.will listen to the call and pick out the highlights and post.

I am still not satisfied and want to speak to someone.in some authority at Comcast.

Upon logging in to this site to follow up I cannot access this report.

I got several calls today from Techzilla / Saveology but as I was at work I did not answer them. I did however call the number from my work phone just to see who it was calling. It was a 954 area code and I had determined that was the same area code of Saveology.

When I called someone simply answered "This is Jeff". I hung up as I planned on calling back when I was on lunch.

I called at lunch and a different person angain answered the phone loosely, "Hello?" I then said "I am returning a call I got from this number". CLICK! He hung up. I called back immediately and it rang 4 times before a woman answered "Good Morning". I again explained I was returning a call from this number 954-691-9599. SHe asked if I knew who would be calling me and I said "no". "What company is this?" She said they were a call center based in Jamaica. Hmm Jamaica with a 954 area code? I then asked what kind of business and she then said Saveology. I told her I did not know a Saveology and she then told me to disregard the call.

Just after getting home I did get a from the same 954-691-9599 from a man named Drew who apologized for the whole situation. He did not have a Jamaican accent. I said he listened to my first call and told me he would refund the 199 charge. I then asked him if he was going to refund the additional $9.99 that we were charged just yesterday for "Tech Service"? He looked it up and said he would refund that as well. Ironically there is still another $9.99 charge on my account I have to research debited the same day. This is supposedly to a charity. We made no such donation. I bet it is more fraud.

Drew was professional and calm as I asked him if he had ever Goggled his company?

He told me to keep the equipment and I could "give it as a gift" as if...

I plan on contacting Comcast's corporate office to report the whole incident to their "Executive Customer Service Dept". I have plenty of information compiled to assist them in keeping this from happening in the future.
