Comcast has been overcharging me for a year for services I have not received. I discovered this a month ago when I dropped their cable TV services. At that time I was told I was receiving the 150MBS service. I told them I had ordered it but never have received it. The clerk told me I had the wrong modem and needed a newer one. I received the new modem and took it home. It would not install. I sent some time on the phone with a Comcast representative on two separate occasions and the modem would not install. At the end of the second conversation the Comcast representative told me they would have to send a tech out to resolve the issue. At no time was I informed there would be a charge for this service.

The tech came out as promised and it took him about an hour to get things working. At that time I received the new modem the representative at the Xfinity center told me I would receive a credit on my next bill. When my next bill arrived I had $360.00 bill and no credit. They charged me for the service call to get their equipment functional. As I write this I have spent a total of 7 hours trying to get this situation resolved. Based on the bill I have I estimate they have overcharged me $300.00.

During the time I was being overcharged my modem and cable boxes took a lighting hit and were damaged beyond repair. I took all of the equipment back received new equipment and installed it with no issues. They did not issue me a modem that was the correct one for the services they were billing me for.

While speaking with the Comcast representative via phone I was told they could not verify in their records that I had not received the service I was paying for. I personally believe this was a lie or the representative was incompetent. I was asked for information on equipment I had turned in. I no longer have the equipment and could not provide the answers. They have records of my account and could not determine that they had been over charging me. This is either a bald faced lie or a high degree of incompetence in my opinion. So after several hours of attempting to resolve this issue with Comcast I have not received credit for the $300.00 I have been overcharged and am at a loss for what to do.
