As others have reported, Comcast Xfinity customer service is simply so incompetent as to be nonexistent.
Since this company is govt subsidized for emergency weather and other alerts, that the customer ends up paying extra for each month, there really should be a serious investigation into this cable & internet provider because there is simply no accountability for the hangups, rude & nonsensical customer service and total lack of service. I have internet service with them but have given up getting any real service. I've got hours of being on hold on my cell phone documented on my laptop video in hopes some customer class action will file against Comcast and I will gladly submit my evidence.

This company has even tresspassed past my legal easement by jumping my fence according to my elderly neighbors. A really dumb thing to do since if they get hurt by any number of dangerous things not put away - like wild animals, it will be their own fault and after all, a locked gate is the international language for KEEP OUT.

Oh, and how can I forget the last time a Comcast service person did legally come to the place on a service call: the guy and the equipment were so dirty; he or his truck was infested with cockroaches. How do I know? he left several dead ones in my living room . UGH!!!!!  We immediately put the box in a plastic bag to fumigate it rather than have any little Comcast mascots running around our home.

The only reason this company lives is because their stockholders are braindead, the government doesn't care and they are a monopoly cable service here.

Yes - class actions are not that simple - that's why I would not waste time intitiating one -however, as I wrote - IF one were started, I would love to help.
Right again! the customer DOES pay  as I wrote - pay attention. HOWEVER, Comcast DOES financially benefit to SOME degree for public service anouncements and warnings  - just ask the inhouse counsel and CFO.

ATT U-verse is NOT a *cable-based service and is not a direct competitor for all cable services although many may choose to have it as a SIMILAR but not same service. Fiber-optic is NOT cable; does similar but is not the same just as apples & pears are both fruit and both can be substituted for dessert or breakfast but you can't make apple cider from pears.

This is what I would suspect. that Comcast doesn't give customers credit for being able to distinguish between the two.

As for wild animals; this is Florida - no permit needed. Wild animals aren't just lions and tigers LOL! - BUT if you've spent your entire life in a  2 inch sq. concrete jungle, you would still know that owls, falcons, snapping turtles possams, black widow spiders and water mocassins frequent domestic ponds and trees... Gee, no wonder the Comacast guy was dumb enough to tresspass!
And it reflects the same lack of customer service and endless excuses for not delivering excellent service.  The customer should be right every time or at least feel as if they were treated that way. Comcast is a cable monopoly because no other CABLE company can franchise in the same area; the very definition of a monopoly.

As long as that continues, it appears their customer service will be nonexistent while customers, ex-customers and potential customers will be criticized for wanting to be treated like valued customers; your response is a perfect example of how Comcast misses the mark by miles. Instead of appreciating the straightforward feedback, and using these complaints to become a customer favorite, the company looks for a diversion and excuse to continue bad overall service.  This will eventually do them in as a corporation because such attitudes are a symptom of negative corporate culture and if oustide sales don't get them,  related internal issues will.

A class action requires a large group of victims suffering loss or injury due to fraud, negligence or deception. You will be unsuccessful at filing a class action for poor service.

Can you substantiate that claim? They may have received subsidies to aid in the analog to digital conversion in rural areas but I'm unaware of the subsidies for emergency alerts. The customers pay for those services.

What wild animals are fenced in on your property? Does that require a permit?
