So I tried to use my Mozart calling card and I discovered the balance was zero, which couldn't be since the last time I used it I still had plenty of minutes. I called the mozart card tech support and I was told that I or someone I had given my pin # to had called Slovania from Washington DC for 75 minutes and used up the remaining balance. I tried to explain that I had not been in DC nor ever called Slovania (they could check my calling history), and promptly requested for credit since I did not make the call.

I was told that it's not their business to make sure that I safeguard my number. Thing is, I never shared my number and I never carry the pin nbr on me since I memorized it, so it's obvious someone cracked into their web site and got a hold of the card number. Since they ask for no other security feature when you dial the 800 # (you only provide the pin #), either someone got a hold of my pin # or they simply kept calling the 800 access # and typed a pin, until they stumbled upon a working pin nbr.

Either way, because of their lax security measures, I lost my remaining minutes. To make matters worst, I had refilled with $20 so I can use the card, but when I tried to cancel my account, there is no way to get unused balances credited. I find it unfair that I have to prove to them the call was fraudulent. Only way to do that would be to wait until the year 6742, when a routine brain content download can prove that neither I made the call, nor gave my pin to someone else.

Total retraction. Case resolved by a friendly tech guy from comFi.com

So after I email them that I would file a better business bureau report, someone a bit more friendly called me at home and reviewed by phone records and agreed I had not made calls to Slovania and it also turns out to the Czech Republic. They agreed to credit me $20 for the calls plus refund my latest refill of $20 on a new card. Bingo. Case closed. All can be resolved if you deal with someone else more amicable and more willing to help.

I went from the most frustrated and hateful customer to a satisfied customer who would even recommend comfi.com to other people.
