I bought my Comfort-Aire 8000 btu unit only TEN months ago for about $250.  It broke about a month ago and it has been between 90 and 105 degrees every day since.  The unit comes with a one year manufacturer warantee.


I have gone through two different "contractors" who have each given me the run-a-round for the past four weeks.  One finally came to look at the unit and said he would order the part.  I have been calling every day, but no update to when or if the part will ever show up.


I contacted the company and they have transfered me to three different departments.  Each time I am transfered there is no new information and i am forced to wait FIVE more business days in the stifiling heat of NYC summer.


I am truly unconvinced that this situation will ever be resolved at this point.  I have never recieved one call back from anyone at this company.  I am sure they will never fix or replace this unit. 


I will never again buy anything from this horrible manufacturer.  They make cheap products that break.  They are rude, unresponsive, and most of all lying cheaters that do not honor their warantee in any way.
