This is the text of my message I sent to the Dallas BBB and the Public Utility Commision Website after being treated rudely by these con artists! PS I only found out about this site by accident when searching for "Comm South". Sounds like I was not the only person treated like S_H_ by these people. They wont last too much longer. Their customer service reflects the direct
buisness ethics and management by their Ceo and directors.

On 6-24-2002 our phone went dead after TV cable installers were trenching a line to the neighbors house behind our lot. I called Comm South from a payphone twice to a Comm South operator who refused to help me because my name was not on the account. I pay the account for AMS,Who's name is on the account. She is my future step daughter and I furthermore is none of their___business what my relation to her is. Which is what the Comm South operator asked. Now for the problem.

I asked the Comm South Customer Service operator who the carrier was for our phone service because we needed service restored. She said she would not give me that information. All I asked is for her to do is put in a service call to get our service restored. She talked over me, would not let me finish stating my problem, and said Have a nice day and hung up on me.

She said there was an outstanding balance of 58.72 .There is no outstanding balance. It was paid at Ace Cash No ___conformation number: _. Furthermore, we have not received A bill in the mail from Comm South for 2 months to even know what the bill amount is. (SOUND FAMILIAR?)The Comm South Operator Said they aren't responsible for the U.S. mail service. Well after 2 months we should have gotten a bill by now.

After 3 days I still don't know if a service order was called in or if we will have anybody check the telephone line.

It could have been solved immediately by the Comm South Operator saying We will contact the line Carrier (VERIZON or who ever), and have them check to see if your phone line was cut. I guess that was too simple for her. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she said no because the supervisor was only going to tell me the same thing that she told me. Well I guess the supervisors' boss will have to hear about this now because they are a 3rd rate company with zero response.

Any customers that have any legitimate problems
will not get any satisfaction because of their gauntlet of questions, verifications, rules, procedures and procedure manual telemarketing responses from their operators. Again, they are a 3rd rate company and I am astounded that they have not had a class action suit filed against them yet for the way they handle
their customers and business ethics. I work for a utility company that also services customers. We don't treat our customers as idiots because in a deregulated marketplace we know customers can tell a 3rd rate company to shove it and pick another service provider.

But when some of us are called out we will go the second mile and make sure that other consumers don't get treated the same way by a less than standard company! They forget their customers fund their jobs and Comm South stockholders.

Desired Settlement:
I want my phone service restored immediately, I want our Comm South Bill mailed to the correct address,
And I want someone higher up than their customer service operators to respond to my complaint. If not, I will post my dissatisfaction to various entities besides the BBB.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, its paid for!
