I usually don't personally make a complaint in most situations where I've been treated badly as a comsumer I either don't go back to the company or I quit using thier products/services but I felt as though I must make an exception in this case. In Novemver of 2000 I applied for and paid for additional services to be added to my existing telephone service, mainly Call waiting and Caller ID. I waited patiently for six weeks for the services to be added, after this did not happen I tried to contact Comm South by telephone, this took Three (3) months to acomplish !!! I evently received the services in NOVEMBER 2001 ! The story get's better....Today I called our efficient litle pals at Comm South and informed them that I wished to discontinue service. I was told that I would not only NOT receive a prorated refunded for the rest of the month But that I would not receive the $13.00 that I OVERPAID for last month !! Not a whole lot of money I'll agree, however take that number and multiply it by several thousand other customers and you'll come up with a pretty nice sum. In the Law Enforcement arena we have a term for this, it's called Theft By Fraud. I will report this to the State Attorney General's Office as well as the BBB.
