I prepaid for a local phone service through COMM SOUTH-EZTEL. I gave them prepayment of $49.00 (basic local service only!) with a money order as requested. My phone was connected within 5 working days as they said, but so far that is all they have lived up to.

The first day that my phone was connected on November 28,2001 I was already having problems getting through to my customers (I'm self-employeed as a ceramic tile installer) in the Winston-Salem, N.C. area. This area is a local call from my area and EZTEL said that it would also be local through their service.

If it were not I would not have given them my business. Most of my customers live in this area.

The first time I called in with my complaint was the second day that I had my phone service with COMM SOUTH-EZTEL, on Nov.29th,2001. I was told to call back in a few hours. This was inconvenient but when I left my installation job to make the call I was told to call back the next day.

This day in particular I spoke with a woman in Boston (I believe it was), her name was Barbara.

Since then it has been going on for approximately two weeks.
Everytime I call I am told to call back in 2 to 3 days, still with no resolve.

then I with her supervisor Kurei " "
She issued a rush order 11/3 Then I spoke with Kathline, then her superior Monica was given another RUSH order and today on DECEMBER 10th, I have spoken with Linda then her Superior GENO. Geno said to call back on the 13th!

I am furious! This is putting me out of business (the one that I have struggled alone to build up for 6 years) and the only reason that I had to apply for this CRAPPY PRE-PAID PHONE SERVICE in the first place is because the only phone service provider in my area is SPRINT and SPRINT IS A VERY CROOKED COMPANY! Sprint has put me through pure HECK!!!!!!!!!!!

Sprint was overcharging me $43.00 on a phone bill and I called them and e-mailed them before my phone was scheduled for disconnect. They disconnected my phone and it was 8 days before they contacted me back about the overcharge, this being 4 days after they had disconnected my service. This was absolutely their first effort! Then they admitted to a $17.73 overcharge and credited my account, but the other $28.05 that they were trying to charge me for reconnecting my long distance back to AT&T, that never happened they refused to deduct.

I was hung up on originally by a Blondie Bennett in Tal,Fl. with Sprint after I was put on hold on the phone line for over 45 minutes. Then when I called back I got Ms. Hill in Kansas! She was very nice and e-mailed this terrible person Blondie Bennett who purposely hung up on me. Still no call back.

I called Sprint last week and still tried to get some resolve and their reply to my getting hung up on by Blondie Bennett was that she had noted on my account that I just would'nt listen! I had been extremely nice to her but insisted that I did not mind being put on hold because I needed to take care of this situation immediately before I was scheduled for disconnect. I thought they recorded the conversations! Why can't they listen to the recording instead of taking a sorry, lying employees word for it!

Like I said, it was 8 days after this and my SPRINT service had been disconnected before they made any attempt to contact me. By this time I had my COMM SOUTH-EZTEL service hooked up or SPRINT would not have been able to contact me.

I thought SPRINT was terrible, having to talk to Kansas, Florida, Tenn.,et., but now I can't make local calls from my pre-paid phone service. Calls that I have already paid for!!

What's worse is I can't make a local call from my phone but I have had to call an 800# for nearly two weeks in the Phillipines to try and get it working properly and you can hardly understand half of the foreigners who are supposed to get your phone service working!

Please give them BAD publicity abd please post this for others to read. If you have any suggestions on how to deal with this CONN SOUTH-EZTEL COMPANY (WHOOPS! COMM SOUTH-EZTEL) or SPRINT LOCAL then I would greatly appreciate your time and effort!
