I recently received a letter by email that looks very professional, as though it were sent by Liberty Reserve, but it isn't. The email said that they needed to verify information at my Liberty Reserve account and requested that I select a link that is embedded in the email.

The only location that had information about my Liberty Reserve account was Commerce Barter! The only reason why I opened the account was so I could join Commerce Barter. There's nothing in the account!

Anyway, I did a right click on the link and pasted the information in Notepad, just to see where the link would take me. Naturally it doesn't go back to Liberty Reserve. I've heard about phishing email before, so I already know that if you follow the link and fill out the information, the person from Commerce Barter will have everything they need to log into your account and take money from the payment processor or your bank account, if you have it linked to Liberty Reserve.

They are really getting desperate, aren't they!
