Commercial Investigations They cashed a faxed copy of 1,800.00 check I faxed to them. They said they could not cash it Van Nuys California
I received a call from Commercial Investigations Inc saying they could get the money that a renter owed me. Couple days later they called and said that they had gotten in touch with renter and he said that he would not pay one red penny to me. They said if I make out a check for $1,800.00 and make a copy of it and fax it to them that they would turn it over to litigation and the attorney would persue it. I called my bank to see if they could cash a copy of a check and my bank told me they could not so I faxed the copy of the check to them. After 2 days I decided that this didn't seem legit so I went to my bank to check on my account.
Low and behold they had already made up a check and cashed it the same day they received it. On the check it said "No signature required". I asked my bank how they could do that...she said "Well, they had your account number". I immediately closed the account. These people should be stopped!!! I tried several times to talk to someone there but they say they will be in touch. It has been a year already.
