Community First Credit Union practice some very illegal or unethical charges at the bank. Each branch manager tells me something different.  The first branch manager states my charges incurred due to insufficient funds and will charge at the time of transaction, meaning if I have other pre-authorized charges the charge will immediately incurred an overdraft charge. I dispute stating I had deposit $200 before making the purchase.  I called the next day to speak to another branch manager and she states the service charge are applied when the transactions are presented for funds from my account.  Therefore when the transaction was presented I did not have the fund and therefore had incurred the service charge.

A year ago, my account had some ridiculous charges and I spoke with a branch manager, she was able to find out that there were holds on the account during pre-authorization but the holds were not released and the transactions came through for actual fund withdrawal caused the service charges. She was able to help me refund those service charges and stated that she has not seen such charges maybe a system glitch or I should call my merchants and tell them not to authorize the charge for more than 24 hours.

Current date the bank is practicing this shady business again and when I tried to explain they would just simply state I spent more money than I had and there is nothing they can do. I explained I have deposited over $500 into my account but yet receive these ridiculous charges which cause my account to spiral into more overdraft charges.  The manager still stated she cannot explain to me in a way that I understand, I am not wrong and should watch what I spend or keep a detailed register. I told her I have and it does not make sense whatsoever on how their banking system processed transactions.  This seems to happen when using their credit card or debit more than the usual amount which is 3 per day.

TGY is pro business and doesn't care for consumer or custormer justice.  I don't see how they are allowed to harass people who post complaints and tell them its their fault.  TGY thinks they know everything about everyone but i'm  getting fed up with being treated like i'm nothing while they harass and torment the poster.

This website wasn't made to cyber bully people.  Which is what TGY is and passing judgement on people.

Sorry, you cannot blame this credit union, Obama, the IRS, FEC, FTC, FINRA, FCC, USAF, FDA or any other entity.  The ONLY reason anyone...including you...gets overdraft fees is because THEY gave themselves overdraft fees by NOT keeping a written record of each and every transaction, keeping a running balance and knowing/abiding by the funds availability policy.

Don't bother saying it, I don't work for them.

Just because YOU make a deposit doesn't mean that deposit money is IMMEDIATLY available!!! Are YOU not a grown man? Are you not an adult?? This is COMMON SENSE!!! if you make a deposit it posts the NEXT AVAILABLE DAY!! Even if you go into the bank and deposit it. So while im sure it makes YOU feel better to blast THEM due to YOUR insufficient funds, the reality is that YOU are the one who is spending money YOU DONT HAVE!!!! Its THIER game, its THIER rules, its THIER ball. If you want to play with THEM you do so under the understanding that THEY make the rules. If you wish to stop getting these charges then STOP what YOU are doing. YOUR process is broken, NOT the bank. All of this is pretty straight forward and you really only see issues due to the customer making assumptions. When you assume you do so at your own risk. WAIT for the deposit to ACTUALLY hit your account. YOU are under the ASSUMPTION that just because YOU have deposited money YOU can make purchases on THAT money, even though it hasn't hit your account yet. There is the issue. Like it or not this is on you.
