Comodo Beware of What They Actually Charge for Their Service New Jersey Nationwide
Beware when dealing with this Antivirus Software Company. In a recent AP newspaper article they got high marks from the CIA about the inability to hack their software. Their product may be good, but they are very dubious to deal with. First, they offer you a free 30 day trial of their software, but after you download it, install it and run it, it finds all these serious problems with your computer. Here is where the "hard sell" starts. You get a chat screen popular appear where in my case a guy named Bruno came on line and started telling me about all the problems my PC had. In order to run the Antivirus software he had to take over my PC and make the fixes. But wait! He' going to make you a special offer for their product. He made it sound like an offer of $151 for a 3 year deal and the invoice showed that amount. I read the EULA, and it state I could get a full refund in 30 days. So, I charged it to my American Express. The invoice was $151 which Bruno made it sound like was for 3 years. Luckily I receive a text for all my American Express transactions where the card is not presented. I got the text right away and it was for $456 not $151. They lead you to believe your paying one amount and charge you another. I flipped out when I saw the text. They tried to hold me online ( kept asking for my phone number too) for the next 45 minutes trying to talk to their "supervisor". It came down to no free trial of their software and they I'll you for one year but charge you for three. I refuted the charge with American Express and will get my refund. Stay away from this Antivirus Company as they are nothing but trouble. The CIA was right. They are a "pain in the a**". I wasted over an hour of my life just trying to test their software, and they will not let you without using dubious selling practices on you.
