Complaint Review: COMP USA

COMP USA GAVE ME THE ULTIMATE RUNAROUND RIPOFF PORTLAND OREGON

I really dont know how this company stays in business after reading all the complaints against them and myself getting jerked around.

I went to the Portland store to get a motherboard repaired on 8-26-02 and the service clerk told me no problem, it would take about a week to get repaied. The motherboard is for a Compaq Celeron Presario model, (a fairly common model). I get a call from them a week later saying the mother board they recieved was D.O.A. and that it would take another week to get another one. Havent they heard of express mailing!!!!!

So I wait another week, and when I arrive to pick it up they tell me the board costs $190!!! This seemed like a huge markup to me. So I ask the clerk (of course a different clerk every time I show up) if he can provide me a cost list from the distributor they buy it from. They said that was not possible. Strange indeed!!

When I arrive home, my internet refuses to come on, so I make another trip across town and the clerk this time (different employee again!) tells me abruptly that its my ISP!!!

I finally got my computer repaired the correct way after 2 more trips back and forth. I really would like to see a major investigation into this company and see how much fraud is taking place. Shame on you guys!!!

P.S. I was never given an apology for the delays.
