My incident happened about three years ago. I went to Comp USA to purchase a laptop. After looking at all the models, I decided upon a Hewlett-Packard. Of course, they had to "order" one because they didn't have one in stock (does that surprise you?)

After five days of waiting, Cynthia called me and said that the Hewlett Packards were all recalled due to a "modem" problem, but I could come in and get another brand. I would've gone elsewhere, but I had already paid for this one.

After I selected another brand, I emailed Hewlett-Packard and asked what their problem was with the modems. They called me, which I never imagined, and asked who told me their computers were recalled. I told him, and they said that there was no problem with their computer having modems recalled.

I haven't been back to Comp USA, nor do I plan to. I skip the middle man, known as managers, and go to the top if I have any problems or complaints with bad businesses.
