Complaint Review: Companions&Homemakers

Companions&homemakers treats their employees like cattle.The office workers do not know the situation they are sending you into. We, the care providers, do know, as a result of spending time there. We are asked to go above and beyond what is protocol. C&H gets mostly state clients, which pay the least and ask for the most outrageous care. private clients...far and few between, which are looking for the ''cheapest maid'' they can find and they want you to travel a long distance to go for one and a half hours and clean their mansion for little money. rich a##holes know how to be cheap and are d**n good at it. I was bitten by a dog at a clients home, a state client to be exact. I walked to the door and i was told the man is a quad. yes, he is. the home also looked like it was ready to be torn down any day!! a total mess. they have caseworkers go out and check it out first? I think not. anyway...I had to search and locate the client...who was holed up in his room with 3 dogs, in complete chaos. c&h will assign you ''chore'' work (i had one lady ask me to buff her wood floors!!! XD

  this was beyond chore, and not be one to bale out...I did everything I could to make this place livable for this person. then his dog bit me. C&H was ok with the workers comp. dr. and clearing me to work but when the antibiotics made me sick and I called to see if it would be ok to stop at me drs...on the way to my next client...(a total pig who is in vista and again needed a maid -instead of working with is worker like he is suppose to, he waited all week for me to arrive and do his crap for him!! the gall!!!--grrrrr) anyway...i was told if i didnt go right to my client..(and i knew the client wouldnt mind if i came a bit late...he was cool, just a pig...i know the score, not c&h...) i was terminated. so i said...im going to the dr i am sick from this antibiotic. they said you are fired. the absolute worst company i have worked for. goldned horizons down the street from C&H isn't any better. the owner, lisa is a meglomaniac. she discharged me from there for taking my client of almost 2 years to a drs. appt. never was I told not to. we had a unemployment hearing and the arbitrator found the suit to be in my favor. you are better off going into private duty homemaker/companion work. there's no backstabbing that way.
