I just purchased a Compaq/Hp Presario 3000 Laptop 4 months ago. I have had a few issues I needed to clear up with HP warranty (1 year parts and labor). Now I purchased this Laptop at Wal Mart. I called Support and spent 35 minutes with a customer service rep who spoke English so badly it wasn't even funny. Then after all of that he says my warranty expired 2 years ago.

I give them the exact date I purchsed the computer as verified by my store reciept as well as my credit card statement showing I had purchased my new computer and registered it with Compaq/Hp less than 5 months prior to this happening. I told them the advertised warranty is at least 1 year parts and labor and what they are doing is false advertisment. Compaq/Hp states now their warranty is one year from the time the retailer buys the product.
