Here is another one .
It is about the mysterious way how the compass bank can ripp off you.

when i checked the acount balance was positive and a check was to come on 5th dec 2005. As my balance shown was less than the amount to come
I deposited 800 dollars in to bank. Also I deposited a pay check also . So positive balance of at least three times of the amount to come.

My card charged the$4.20 and bank charged NSF
36.00 telling that the charge was made on a previous day when the accout was negative. But posted today before the deposits were applied.
I clarified the bank is telling that all the debits will be made first and all NSF then only the deposits will be applied to the account.

really a ripp off Calculated to decieve the public.

It is high time to take action.

We have to report it to Our Governor/ reserve bank and also to President
Who ever willing may please write their
openion on the subject to rippoff please

Your posting wasn't real clear, so I am doing some guessing here. If you used your debit card on a Monday, and the debit was posted on a Wednesday, but you made a deposit on Tuesday to cover the Wednesday posting, then you are going to get an overdraft charge.

When you made the purchase on Monday, the hold on the funds came through immediately. If there were not funds to cover the hold, then you get an overdraft. It doesn't matter that you deposited the next day, the damage was already done.

If this wasn't what happened, maybe you could clarify what actually did happen.
