I have been very unhappy at Compass since I opened the account last year.
Never have I ever encountered such a vast amount of ineptitude. I used to be a teller and I know how the posting is supposed to go for deposits.

Compass has gotten from me last year over 400 in NSF fees. Supposedly, they post the transactions by date order and not by processing order. If I make a deposit today and my account already has 240 in it, if a check for 290 posts tonight but was received by the bank and stamped the day before then it goes in first and then the deposit and then the NSF fee hits the next day at 11:00. So if you get up the next morning and you don't actually look at the transactions and notice their order then you won't know about your NSF fees because they haven't posted yet. If you use your card to buy something for 160 and you know you have 163 when you left home but it is now 12:00 then you will get another overdraft fee the next day...trust me.

I am in the process of finding another bank at this time....The only reason I opened a Compass account is because I wanted my mom in Alabama to be able to put money in my account instead of wiring it to me.
