Dear Sirs,

I have been shopping for a digital camera and have visited numerous web sites. I found a good deal at CompDirect.com and got them on the phone this morning to place an order. I was aware of grey market products so I tried to pin them down that I would receive a boxed camera from Olympus America and with full warranty. He assured me that the camera would be shipped direct to me from Olympus and that they do not deal grey market products. I placed an order and gave them my credit card info and he began processing the order. While I was waiting, I did a search for CompDirect on the Web and came across your report. I quickly read a few details and immediately got concerned. When the salesmen came back I told him I needed to take a little more time to decide and canceled my order. I specifically asked him to make sure they do not process the credit card order and he assured me they have canceled the order. My concern is that they might process the order anyway. I checked with my credit card company and no transactions have been received yet.

Do you think they might still process the order or am I going to be okay on this? I will probably check with my credit card provider again tomorrow to make sure. I will probably decide to spend more money and buy a camera locally instead of looking for bargains on the web.
