There are tons of reports about all of the other names for this company on here, but only one for Competitive Advertising Inc. in Maitland, FL. DO A SEARCH ON THE OTHER NAMES I'VE LISTED!

I won't be repetitive and list all of the offenses of this FAKE firm, but please search and find out what a hoax it is before you go on an interview. Mine is on Monday and I can't wait to call and cancel!! They are really a door- to- door sales company and have you also sell at places like gas stations and office buildings. This is why their job descriptions are so vague. And all of their 'clients' are NOT their clients.

Think about it. If they represented Islands of Adventures, Applebees, Blockbuster, and the Orlando Magic like they say they do, they would be a MAJOR player internationally! This crap should be illegal. Some people are also saying that the company is cult- like, using the same tactics to isolate and brainwash people, promising them higher positions. Here's a copy of the email they send absolutely everybody who applies:

Thank you for your interest in a position with Competitive Advertising, Inc. The management staff has reviewed your qualifications and skills, as well as compared your resume to others received. After evaluating these things, we've come to agreement that we'd enjoy sitting down with you for a more personal interview. Congratulations on being selected, as there were many resumes that were submitted and considered. Please call our Human Resources Manager listed below as soon as possible to insure that you have an opportunity to meet with one of the managing partners. Our office hours are Monday-Friday from 9am to 6pm.

Oh yea, and they actually had me thinking I was applying for an INTERNSHIP! lmao just search the other names I listed. good luck with your new job search:)

No, I didn't really fall for the scam. I worked there for a total of 2 weeks. It's not on my resume so I did not get the job that I have as a result of working for a Cydcor affilliate. I was merely responding to the previous statement by Cristina that it's such a great company to work for. I know that she's not making the money that she says she is and I know that she is putting in so many hours that she probably has no life. That is if she's even still employed with them. Cydcor has extremely high turnover. Furthermore, I didn't get my position based on my 2 weeks with Cydcor. It's never even touched my resume. I got my position because of the 10 years of experience that I have with legitimate companies and my MBA degree. I'm really not trying to brag. In fact, $72,000+ bonuses is actually pretty low for someone who has an MBA but I'm happy :) I have former classmates that make double what I do. It's ok......to each their own :)

Maybe she did fall for the scam, but so did you. You just said you worked for a cydcor affiliate. You are trying to make yourself look better than her, when you were just like her. You sir are the naive one. And to tell the truth, I dont' believe those numbers you gave, successful people never talk about the exact numbers they earn, which is why everybody questions these owners in Cydcor. And then most importantly, one of the main reasons you got that position you have now is because of your sales experience with them. I'm not saying you're wrong by your negative feelings, but i feel you're wrong for attacking her.

How sad that you're so naiive to fall for such a scam. I used to work for a Cydcor company when I graduated from college. I know first hand what it is like. I hope that you are happy with putting in 12-14 hour days 6 days a week for a measly $500-$600, then best of luck to you. If you think this is going to put you on the fast track shoot up the corporate ladder, then be my guest.

I'm happy with my $72,000/year base salary with full benefits. I'm happy with the $3,000-$4,000 I get on top of this each month as bonuses and commissions. I'm also happy with the 8-5 hours M-F that I work. You can't get this with any Cydcor affilliate. Enjoy your long hours and weak paychecks. It must be J-U-I-C-Y!!!! HA! What a joke!

Best Regards,

Albert

Kirsten and Albert:

How can you write things like this about a business you know nothing about! You have not eeven been to the interview and you are judging the company. Albert, my dear, CULT? I dont think so. Hey some people are just not cut out to work for their futures.

Instead of sitting here writing these judgemental comments why not search for another opportunity..prob. one that lets you work from 9-5 making $10 an hour for some a*****e that only thinks of him/herself instead of helping you work towards your future.

Kirsten, Something is def. wrong in that head of yours. All that energy you put foward to calling up the news for an investigation. BRAVO! Good thinking. Are you even employed yet? Prob. not..cause look what you invest your bad energy on.

I actually work for the magic and can tell you that we are just one of the clients this company provides services to. If it were not for them our stadium this year, last year would not have been sold out for most of the season. Why dont you do a little more research instead of listening to other people that post such negative comments. Hey, did you ever think that maybe the people who post these negative comments failed at this job and instead of blaming themselves they blame someone else. It just was not for them and they go to these extremes to screw up someones buisness. And you two..did not even give it a chance and are already making these annoying remarks. GET A LIFE!!

Kristen,

I'd be happy to go to the interview and let you know what happens. I'd be very willing to give all the information to the news channel about it as well. I have all the information for another one of these "marketing companies". I'll keep you updated. Let me know if you want my email address.

I contacted a local news station and they called; they are interested. I already canceled my appointment so I can't really help them out, but if you (or anybody else) is going to go and get info and proof, let me know and I'll give u my email so you can get the number and give the news station what you found out.

Thank you very much for posting this Kristen! I also have an interview on Monday with them. We should go in together and bombard them with questions about their fake agency and maybe expose them to others who are interviewing :) They told me that I would be interviewing for a sales manager position. Then after looking at their website, something didn't seem right. Do they really do all the advertising for every professional sports team in Florida? Not likely. If they are part of Cydcor, then they are definately shady.

To everyone who is thinking about interviewing, beware if they ask you to "shadow" for a day as an interview. They will tell you that for your second interview you have to go along with a salesperson so that they can see how you interact with people. I think that they hire everyone. I once went on one of these interviews with a "marketing company". They sent me in the field with a rep for a day, but didn't let me take my own car so I couldn't leave. It's a multi-level marketing scam so beware!
