I went to the Liquidation Expo 03/07/10. I was told I was purchasing a 4 GB ram with 3 Megahertz processor and 600 GB Hard-drive with a 109.00 flat screen monitor keyboard and mouse for a total of 498.22 after taxes from Compu-Electronics Sales. I got home opened the box and knew I was in trouble. The computer had no name no information on the case. The Keyboard was by gateway and had food stuck on the keys. The mouse was by HP and had a roll of lint on the wheel. After I cleaned and sanitized these items I hooked up the computer. The keyboard did not work half the keys were non-functioning. The 4 GB RAM was not even 1 GB. The memory was 227 GB not 600 and the monitor was so bad I couldnt tell if the numbers were a 6, 8, or 9.

I was also told the computer was a NEW computer and the vender said the other venders were only selling refurbished computers. Funny considering what was hiding in the box when I got home!

When I state that the computer is old, I am refering to the fact that it contains essentially what my 7 yr old computer contains.

So for 498.00 I did not get a new upgraded computer as I had intended.  I got a second computer with the same capacity as my old computer.

I did sign a receipt without reading and the company has told me they have no proof I didn't get what I said I was supposed to receive, since the receipt only said - Computer - monitor - Keyboard.

They have offered to take the computer back at a discounted 30 percent restocking fee (instead of 45 percent) IF I send it back and they feel it is in the same condition they sold it.  Of Course - I will have to pay the shipping.
