I dropped my MacBook Laptop computer and broke the screen.  I contacted Computer Doctors after doing an internet search.  Timothy J McGuire owner/president of Computer Doctors seemed to be a ligitimate buisnees person.  He was on Linkedin, FaceBook and Twitter.  The Computer Doctors website listed several buisnesses that he served and had an impressive looking website.  On Tuesday, Apri l8, 2014 Timothy McGuire picked up my laptop, money and screen and promised to fix it and return it in 3 days.

He "forgot" to bring a receipt but indicated that he would email me one and scribbled a receipt on the back of his buisness card.  Tim never sent the receipt.  On the day the computer was supposed to be fixed (Friday, April 11, 2014) he told me that it was a more extensive repair and would require additional money and time.  He indicated that the part would be available on Monday and he would return the computer on Tuesday.  On Tuesday, April 15, 2014, I contacted him.  The part wasn't delievered on Monday but he would pick it up that day and fix it overnight.

On Wednesday, April 16, 2014 he indicated the computer was fixed but the glue on the new screen had to dry and he would drop it off by 3:30 on Thursday, April 17, 2014.  He did not drop off my computer as promised and would not return my calls.  I had a friend call using her phone to see if he would call her back and he did.  I got on the phone and questioned why he did not return my computer as promised nor any of the calls I made to him.  He indicated that he was stuck at a job later then expected.  He indicated that he would call me by 6:00 and make an arrangement to drop off the computer.

I expressed concern that he did not return my calls or computer at the exepected time.  I told him that if I did not hear from him that I would have to contact the police.  He said he understood.  I did not hear back from him.  I called, sent texts and emails.  I filed a police report with the Philadelphia Police Department on April 18, 2014.  I also tried to file charges with the District Attorney on April 21, 2014.  They did not want to pursue the charges and were calling this a buisness dispute and told me that I can file a small claims court case.  Timothy McGuire does not have a physical address listed for his buisness.
